Funkoars relocate Adelaide show to the Gov in February.

Funkoars will be hitting up The Gov on February 20th! Originally slated to perform at HQ, the group have relocated to The Gov as Trials will be undergoing surgery earlier than expected. He’s expected to be totally healthy for the show, which will no doubt be a killer hometown gig, so if you’ve already bought a ticket, they will remain valid! If you want a refund though, they will also be available from point of purchase or from HQ – contact 08 7221 1245.

If you’re keen for a gig down West End this Friday, head down to the Bearded Lady and see The Good Ship and The Underscore Orkestra! Fresh from festival appearances at Falls Festival and the Festival of the Sun, The Good Ship return home for a special Brisbane gig. The Underscore Orkestra are performing as well, the US visitors bringing their eclectic and energetic show to Australia which has already been welcomed warmly the world over.

Little Odessa set for January residency at the Black Bear Lodge.

Brisbane’s Little Odessa will be seeing out January with a residency at the Black Bear Lodge. Kicking off on January 17th, the exciting rock act will be doing two sets over the final three Friday nights of the month. They have recently been given great reception at the Byron Bay Falls Festival and are sure to continue their great run through this year as well. Get down to the Black Bear Lodge (Jan 17th, 24th and 31st) to support Little Odessa, with each gig kicking off at 9pm.

Smoking Martha launching “Sweet As Honey” at The Tempo Hotel in March.

Smoking Martha have recently announced their new single “Sweet As Honey”, which has been taken off their forthcoming EP, will be launched at the Tempo Hotel in March. The band have been working with Ian Haug (Powderfinger) on the EP, which will see release also in March, though the single has already been scoring impressive stats on YouTube. They’ll also be heading to Sydney and Melbourne to perform, but you shouldn’t be missing their hometown show on the 21st!

In Australia for a run of festival and headline shows, Julian Marley will be stopping in Brisbane this weekend for a reggae gig not to be missed. Taking on The Arena in the Valley on January 11, Marley will be joined by Blue King Brown’s Natalie Pa’apa’a, who will be performing in acoustic mode. Paua, Juggarizza, Tuff Tumas and DJ Basmati will also be along for the ride, so don’t miss on it! Grab your tickets from oztix.com.au.

Bondi Cigars bringing 25th anniversary show to The Gov in January.

Celebrating 25 years in the business, the Bondi Cigars will be staging a show that thanks their supporters who’ve stuck with them through the years. Known for great, energetic live gigs, the Bondi Cigars will be showing us why they’re a musical name deserved of celebration! Tickets are $25 plus booking fee and are available ahead of the January 25 from moshtix.com.au and venuetix.com.au.

Renee Geyer cancels January 24th Adelaide show.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Australian songstress Renee Geyer has had to cancel her January 24th Adelaide show. If you had a ticket to this gig at The Gov, full refunds are available through the ticket outlets (Oztix, Moshtix and Venuetix).

Devin the Dude bringing killer hip-hop to The Gov!

Critically acclaimed hip-hop artist Devin the Dude is coming to Adelaide, with a show set to tear up The Gov. The Houston rapper is renowned for his unique style and great live energy, so it’ll be great to see him bring his style through Adelaide for an unforgettable night of tunes. Tickets are $33 plus booking fee and are available from the usual outlets. Be sure to catch Devin the Dude on February 13 – you won’t regret!
